MG Motor has received more than 38,000 bookings of the Hector until now.

Automakers are witnessing the substantial increase in their sales volume during the festive season. Just a few days ago, it was reported that Hyundai, Kia and MG Motor delivered a combined number of over 15,000 units during the Dhanteras festival. Now MG Motor again announced its sales number for October 2019 is at 3,536 units. Certainly, this is a brilliant feat for MG Motor as the British brand currently has only a single product in its lineup – the MG Hector.

MG Motor has already started its second shift from Halol plant in Gujurat to ramp up from 2,000 to 3,000 units per month.

MG Motor started over its Indian operation with the Hector in July 2019. Its sales figures continuously go up ever since its launch, from 1,508 units registered in July to 2,018 units sold in August and 2,608 units in September 2019. These figures show that the brand new Hector is in huge demand in recent times.

Currently, the MG Hector is competing against the likes of Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV500 and the newly-launched Kia Seltos.

In a bid to catch up with this great demand, MG India has started to increase its production from November 2019, from 2,000 units to 3,000 units per month. However, due to the higher demand, customers who have booked for the Hector this festive season will have to wait until early 2020 to get the cars delivered.
