As many as 50 dealerships with 120 touchpoints of MG Motor are in the developmental stage in India prior to the commercial launch of MG Hector in June 2019

SAIC Motor’s subsidiary, MG Motor announced in a recent media event that they are preparing for the India launch of the Hector SUV in June 2019. The British carmaker has already started on the extensive appointment of dealer partners across the country, accompanied by establishing special MG Experience Centres in India. That said, we're close to seeing 50 MG Motor’s dealerships embracing up to 120 touchpoints around the Indian market no later than mid-2019. These dealerships, as per the British-owned automotive company, will follow the “one city-one dealer” strategy in almost towns and cities pan-India, but Mumbai and some other big cities can get a few exceptions.

MG Hector is all set to hit its dealers in India in June 2019.

To follow the footsteps of Tesla Motor, MG Motor India is also working on establishing special MG Experience Centres which is said to locate in malls across the nation. That’s done on purpose of creating brand awareness among customers in a whole new area like India- the fourth-largest auto market in the world.

To recall, MG is gearing up for its first SUV’s arrival in the market- the MG Hector five-seater SUV. Teasing and road testing have been kicked off by the carmaker for a due course of time before the launch to hint at the unique upright silhouette and styling design of the SUV. As far as we know, the MG Hector will pack with a set of split full LED headlamps up front, which will be largely identical to the likes of Tata Harrier and the soon-to-be-launched Hyundai Venue.

Promised to be a mind-blowing best-ever connected SUV in the segment, the Hector will carry a range of leading-edge connected functionalities such as AI-powered voice assistant, OTA updates with 5G capabilities as well as in-car entertainment and navigation features like Gaana and TomTom. Furthermore, MG also announced its partnership with SAP, Cisco and Microsoft to provide Hector’s users with cloud-based services and cybersecurity. In order to keep the cost more budget-friendly, MG also revealed that the Hector will get almost 75 per cent localization once launched in India.
