More Than 300 New Hyundai Creta Being Booked Daily

Hyundai launched the new-gen Creta on March 16, earlier this year and in a short period of time, the car has garnered more than 24,000 bookings (as of May 31)

The new-gen Hyundai Creta is hardly a couple of months old in the Indian market. Moreover, the car was launched right before the nationwide lockdown was announced. Despite, all of these complications, the new-gen Creta has managed to attract more than 24,000 bookings till date. Also, with 3,212 units dispatched in last month, it is India’s top-selling car for the month of May. Helping it achieve these numbers on the sales chart are the multiple engine-gearbox combinations and the longer than ever features list. The price also works in Creta’s favour, as it starts at as low as Rs. 9.99 lakh and tops out at Rs. 17.20 lakh.

New Hyundai Creta is offered in a total of 5 variants, namely E, EX, S, SX, and SX(O). Talking of the features, it comes loaded to the gills. The feature list includes a full-size panoramic sunroof, steering-mounted paddle shifters, LED headlamps and tail lamps, rearview monitor, auto headlamp function, R17 diamond-cut alloy wheels, ambient lighting, electronic parking brake, air purifier, driving modes, cruise control, 8-way power-adjustable driver seat, ventilated front seats, 10.25-inch touchscreen display for infotainment unit, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, automatic climate control, Bose sound system, and BlueLink connectivity suite.

To ensure the safety of the passengers, Creta also comes equipped with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability assist, seat belts with pre-tensioners, front seat belt reminder, high-speed alerts, tyre pressure monitoring system, traction control, engine immobilizer, speed sensing auto door lock, impact sensing auto door unlock, ISOFIX child seat mounts, lane changing indicators, emergency stop lamp, hill start assist, rear disc brakes and more.

New Hyundai Creta offers a total of 3 engine options and 4 gearbox options to choose from. Starting with the 115 PS 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol motor, it comes with the option of a 6-speed MT and a CVT automatic. The 115 PS 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine is the torquiest of the lot and can be had mated to either a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AT. The smallest and most powerful motor available on new-gen Creta is the 1.4L turbo-petrol engine that puts out 144 PS. It is available with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission only.
