Most Affordable Mercedes 'Limousine' Launch In India This Summer

German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes will launch the A-Class Limousine in the Indian market in June, 2020. The pre-bookings of the sedan are now open. Here are the specs and features of the upcoming India-spec Mercedes A-Class Limousine. The carmaker will sell the A-Class Limousine in India with three different powertrain options, one of them will be the Mercedes- AMG’s A 35 4MATIC. Mercedes-Benz India may offer the entry-level models without its advanced technologies to let the top-of-the-line models be more famous.

The diesel-powered non-AMG models will employ some premium features like a panoramic sunroof, LED headlight cluster, touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity options, fully digital instrument cluster, electronically adjustable seats with memory function, wireless charging function, leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel and two-zone automatic climate control. Aside from the distinctive looks, the A 35 4MATIC trim will employ features like keyless entry, engine start/stop button and sporty-looking steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather. 
Moreover, the Mercedes-Benz A-Class will be sold in five unique colour shades namely- Cosmos Black, Polar White, Denim Blue, Mountain Grey and Mojave Silver. Moreover, there are also 5 different options for the upholstery and variants-:
1) ARTICO artificial leather black 
2) Light longitudinal-grain aluminium trim (A35-only)
3) ARTICO artificial leather beige
4) Brown open-pore walnut wood trim
5) DINAMICA microfibre black (A35-only)

The upcoming Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine will be priced between Rs 30.35 lakh (ex-showroom)

One can expect the non-AMG trims to be the A 200 (Front-wheel-drive) and A 180 d (Front-wheel-drive). The Mercedes-Benz A 200 derives power from the M 282 1.3-litre, petrol unit, which puts out power and torque outputs of 163 PS and 250 Nm. The Mercedes-Benz A 180 d gets propelled by a 1.5-litre, oil-burner that produces 116 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. Internationally, the cars are offered with a 6-speed MT and 7-speed DCT, the India-spec Mercedes-Benz is expected to come coupled with an automatic gearbox. On the other hand, the A 35 4MATIC (AWD) will extract power from the M 260 2.0-litre, petrol mill, which shreds out 306 PS of power and 400 Nm of twisting force. The engine comes paired with AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7G 7-speed DCT along with 4MATIC AWD system as standard.
