New BMW Z4 Roadster Launched In India, Price Starts At Rs 64.90 Lakh

BMW Z4 has been launched in India at the starting price of Rs 64.90 Lakh. This model comes available with two variants, sDrive20i and M40i

BMW Z4 was discontinued in September 2016 and reappeared two years after. The new Z4 has been launched at several markets before entering India in 2019. In India, it is available in two variants - sDrive20i and M40i. The Z4 is imported to our shore via the CBU route. You can start booking this model in BMW’s dealerships across the country now.

The new Z4 gets a radical styling which is a step-up in terms of style compared with the previous model. BMW Z4 boasts a wide version of its signature grille that soaks up a large estate on the fascia. The headlamps get smoked effect along with the LED application. The air intake on the bumper gets larger and more aggressive.

Now, it will ride on the 18-inch and 19-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, wraparound LED taillights, gloss black bumper and dual exhaust pipe works together to bring out a sleek and sporty appeal.

You can opt to take the style to the new level with the Sport Line, and M Sport Package offered on the sDrive20i. At this variant, you can get various options of customisations. You can pick among five metallic colour paints, namely, Black Sapphire, Glacier Silver, Mineral White, Mediterranean Blue and San Francisco Red and a non-metallic Alpine white. M Sport Package exclusively comes with Frozen Grey II metallic option or Blue metallic paint.

On the other hand, M40i is the performance-oriented version. And this characteristic is portrayed through the aggressive styling. The BMW Z4 sDrive20i 2019 is priced at Rs. 64.90 lakh while the higher variant M40i costs Rs. 78.90 lakh.

On the inside, the Z4 shares the same design language with other BMW models. For example, it features the dual a large 10.3-inch centre display along with 12.3-inch digital display in place of the instrument cluster. It is equipped with two-zone climate control, electrically adjustable seats, and ambient lighting. For the M40i, Z4 will come with the high-end 364-watt Harman Kardon audio system andHead-Up Display.

BMW Z4 comes with two engine options, 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol motor on the Z4 sDrive20i and 3.0-litre petrol motor on M40i variant. The former motor develops 194 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque while the latter is good for 335 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque. While the sDrive20i could do the 0-100 sprint in 6.6 seconds, the M40i takes only 4.5 seconds. 8-speed Steptronic Sport Transmission comes as standard across the range.
