The fifth-gen Honda City will be offered with an all-new 1.5-litre petrol mill instead of the ongoing model's BS6-compliant petrol engine.

The upcoming new-gen Honda City will not be offered with the fourth-gen model’s BS6 1.5-litre gasoline engine. A media report released recently suggests that the fifth-gen City will be propelled by an all-new BS6-compliant 1.5-litre petrol motor. The ongoing Honda City is powered by an L15A, 1.5-litre SOHC petrol unit, which puts out 119 PS of power at 6,000 rpm and 145 Nm of peak torque at 4,600 rpm. The upcoming model will get an L15B 1.5-litre DOHC petrol engine, which churn out 121 PS of maximum power and 155 Nm of twisting force. This means that the new petrol powertrain will be more potent compared to the one offered with the ongoing model.
