New-gen Hyundai i20 Snapped Again

Here are some new spy images of the new-gen Hyundai i20 2020. The all-new model has been recently spotted again while getting tested in South Korea. The upcoming premium hatchback is just a few months away from reaching showrooms. The 2020 Hyundai i20 will be completely new, inside and out. The third generation of the popular supermini will rub shoulders with the likes of Maruti Baleno, Tata Altroz and Renault Cliq.

The upcoming hatchback will feature 16-inch alloy which look somewhat similar to those of the ongoing i20 that is retailed in our market. This is the very first time that we've seen the next-gen i20 in a light colour shade that will be named Silky Silver Sleek. The upcoming model will be offered in four new distinctive colour choices, named as Intense Blue, Brass, Aurora Grey and Aqua Turquoise. A

long with the 16-inch alloy wheels, the new-gen Hyundai i20 will feature full-LED headlights, front underbody spoiler, shark fin antenna, faux diffuser at the back and LED taillights connected through a reflected strip. Moreover, inside, the all-new Hyundai i20 will feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with latest connected features, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, premium 8-speaker Bose sound system with subwoofer, ambient lighting and much more. The upcoming hatchback will also feature Hyundai's latest Bluelink connected car tech. The all-new Hyundai i20 is expected to hit the Indian shores by September this year.

Mechanically, the India-spec 2020 Hyundai i20 will be available with all the motor options of the Venue. These inclue a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated gasoline engine that offers 82bhp/113 Nm, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that offers 118bhp/173 Nm and 1.5-litre turbo-diesel motor that churns out 99bhp/240 Nm. Transmission options will include a 5-speed MT and CVT for 1.2-litre petrol, 6-speed MT and 7-DCT for 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 6-speed MT for turbo-diesel. The carmaker has also planned to introduce the performance-oriented 'N' badged version of the car. The upcoming Hyundai i20 N will be powered by a 1.6-litre turbo petrol motor that produces power and torque outputs of 201bhp and 260 Nm, respectively. In India, the third generation Hyundai i20 is expected to be priced between Rs 5.75 lakh to Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
