New-gen Kia Carnival Interior Revealed in Latest Spy Shots

The next-generation Kia Carnival has been spotted testing on the roads of South Korea. The current-gen Carnival has been in production for 5 years now but its local launch took place only months ago. That said, we do expect that Kia will bring the new-gen model to the Indian market soon after its debut. The next-gen model is scheduled to be launched in its home market in July 2020.

The recent spy shots of the all-new Carnival give us a glimpse of what the upcoming MPV would have on the inside. The Carnival now features a Sorento-inspired steering wheel which is in line with the latest design trend of the auto giant.

Even the touchscreen infotainment system and instrument cluster are similar to what we see on the Sorento, with a digital panel running from the outer side of the driver’s display to the centre of dashboard to separate the instrument cluster with the infotainment unit. However, the screen of the Carnival does not feature any dial or buttons as what is offered in the Sorento.

The central AC vents are placed right below the touchscreen while touch controls and buttons are fitted below the air vents as well. The new-gen Carnival gets a newly-designed centre console which sees the heavy adoption of piano black-finished plastics to enhance the SUV’s premium quotient.

The next-gen Kia Carnival will more likely to be developed by the same platform to the latest-gen international-spec Hyundai Sonata or Kia K5 Optima. The exterior design of the Carnival will receive some changes as well to make it in line with Kia’s latest design philosophy.

The new-gen Kia Carnival is expected to arrive in India no sooner than late 2021, considering the fact that Kia has only recently launched the Carnival MPV to the Indian space. Kia plans to launch its new vehicles in India in every 6 months. The next product for the Indian market is confirmed to be the Hyundai Venue-rivalling Kia Sonet.
