Here a recent rendering of the new-gen Mahindra Scorpio, which shows all the sides of the upcoming SUV. It will derive power from a petrol and diesel engine.

The new-gen Mahindra Scorpio has been snapped several times while getting tested on the Indian roads. However, the SUV was still heavily camouflaged, but it offered us some new design details of the upcoming Mahindra SUV. The new-gen Mahindra Scorpio will be seeing a full model change since it was introduced in India back in 2002. Based on the spy images, here's the complete rendering of the 2021 Mahindra Scorpio, which shows how the SUV look from the front, side and rear.

All the panels around the body of the new-gen Mahindra Scorpio will be brand new. The 2021 Mahindra SUV still retains the tall boy look with upright pillars, and the overall design cues of the car seem quite butch. The front fascia of the car will get the company’s signature vertically stacked grille flanked by twin-pod LED headlamps, which looks quite similar to the ones on the upcoming Mahindra XUV500. The car will get a wider bumper, which now features new air intakes along with a new set of fog lamps. At the back, it will employ side-hinged doors. The SUV will feature vertically-stacked LED taillights and a sporty-looking roof-mounted spoiler. The side profile of the SUV is expected to get body cladding along with a set of new alloy wheels. The new-gen Mahindra Scorpio will be based on a new platform. It will underpin the same ladder-frame chassis, which underpins the all-new Mahindra Thar.

Moreover, it will be bigger dimensions, length and width, which will open more space inside the cabin of the car. Mechanically, the 2021 Mahindra SUV will derive power from a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The former will develop 150bhp of max power and 320 Nm of peak torque, while the latter is likely to put out power and torque outputs of 130 PS and 320 Nm, respectively. The engine will come paired with a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. These are the same powertrain option, which does duties in the new-gen Mahindra Thar.
