Here are a few images of 2020 Mahindra Thar with new colour shade options, which are expected to launch next year.

In October 2020, Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the new-gen Thar in the Indian market. The all-new model of the SUV has got quite popular among enthusiasts around the country. The demand of the new-gen Mahindra off-roader is so high that the waiting period of the car has been extended up to 9 months. To reduce the delivery time, the carmaker has said that from next month they’ll ramp up the production of the SUV by 50 per cent. For the time being, a new colour shade option of the 2020 Mahindra Thar has been spied on the road.

Reports suggest that apart from the introduction of a new white paint scheme, the carmaker will also over additional colour options, namely- Orange and Silver. Silver-coloured Mahindra Thar was snapped on the Indian roads a few days back. Right now, the 2020 Mahindra Thar is offered with seven different colour shades namely- Galaxy Grey, Aquamarine, Rocky Beige, Mystic Copper, Red Rage, Aqua Marine and Napoli Black. Along with new paint scheme, the upcoming model of the SUV will also be offered with the revised hardtop as it gets bigger rear windows and new rear windscreen hinges. Other than these subtle changes, everything remains the same.

Talking about the new-gen Mahindra Thar, it derives power from 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine. The former develops power and torque outputs of 150bhp and 320 Nm, while the latter is capable of shredding out 130bhp of peak power and 300 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are done by a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The 2020 model of the SUV is offered in three different trim levels namely- AX, AX(O) and LX. It gets retailed at a starting price of Rs 9.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base trim and goes all the way up to Rs 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec variant.
