The highly luxurious Rolls Royce Ghost will get a facelift in the upcoming time. Here is all we know about the new Ghost

The Rolls-Royce was introduced to the public back in 2010. Despite having a history of nearly one decade, the Rolls-Royce is yet to get any kind of exterior updates. But, it seems that Rolls-Royce is ready to bestow the Ghost a comprehensive overhaul shortly.

The Ghost will be redesign to look in harmony with other cars in Rolls-Royce’s recent line-up. In other words, the new look of the Ghost will be inspired by the styling on the Phantom Eight and the Cullinan SUV. Interior updates are expected to arrive too.

Even though the details of the new Ghost are yet laid bare, it is likely that the facelifted Ghost will feature the aluminium-intensive structure as in the current Phantom and Cullinan. This new platform could bring in a drop in weight, but not so dramatic. Apart from that, some spy images reveal that the Ghost will continue to sport a pronounced waterfall grille. However, the styling will be more youthful and fashionable.

Under the hood, it is likely that the Rolls-Royce will deploy the name twin-turbocharged V12 engine. Besides, it is expected that the 6.6-litre V12 engine which is powering the BMW M760Li will be used in the new Ghost. By far, it is unknown if Rolls-Royce will replace the two-wheel drive system and present the BMW all-wheel drive system.

The Rolls-Royce Ghost is recently competing with the likes of Maybach S-Class and Bentley Continental. More details will be revealed later on. Stay tuned.
