Genesis has unveiled the G80 sedan online. The premium sedan is already on sale in Korea and is expected hit several markets by the second-half of this year.

Earlier this year, the luxury vehicle division of the Hyundai Motor Group, Genesis introduced the new GV80 as it was the first car to use the quad headlamp cluster, and the same design has been employed for the carmaker's new premium sedan, the G80. The car has been unveiled online from the company’s headquarter situated in South Korea. Genesis G80 employs a new design language, new engine options and a wide range of advanced technologies and features. The front fascia of the sedan looks quite premium as it gets eye-catching quad headlamps along with a huge shield grille.

Upfront, the new sedan also features some chrome accents, which enhances the premium quotient of the car. The side profile of the sedan gets 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, which look quite similar to one offered with its SUV sibling. Moreover, the side profile also gets a unique crease starting from the headlamp cluster and going all the way through to meet the tail.

Completing the overall picture with a distinctive looking rear which employs quad taillights, sharp boot lid structure and twin chrome exhaust tips. One can also find similarities between the GV80 SUV and G80 inside the cabin. The sedan employs a 12.3-inch digital 3D instrument cluster, HUD, multi-spoke steering wheel, good quality wood, steering mounted controls, aluminium and leather trims, a 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control and much more.

Moreover, it also comes loaded with some advanced safety features like autonomous emergency braking, advanced adaptive cruise control, blind-spot collision avoidance, etc. The Hyundai G80 derives power from a 2.5-litre, turbocharged, four-pot engine (300 hp/421 Nm), a 3.5-litre, turbo V6 mill (375 hp/530 Nm) and 2.2-litre, four-cylinder, oil-burner (207 hp). The premium sedan will go on sale in the South Korean market from today and is expected to be expanded to other markets by the second half of this year.
