Hyundai has silently launched the Verna facelift at a starting price of Rs. 9.30 lakh. The Verna now gets 3 new engine options – 1.5L MPI petrol, 1.5L turbo-diesel, and 1.0L turbo-petrol. It also gets a total of 4 transmission options to choose from - 6-speed MT, 6-speed AT, CVT and 7-speed DCT. Apart from these mechanical upgrades, the car also gets a host of features up its sleeves. 1. OE Telematics – BlueLink
BlueLink is Hyundai’s connectivity suite based on various IoT applications. It lets the user remotely access around 45 features of the car. Here, in Verna, it will also let the users access certain features via a smartwatch as well.
2. Emergency Stop Signal
Hyundai has incorporated an emergency stop signal in the tail lamps of the Verna facelift. This will make the tail lamps flash like hazard lamps in case of emergency braking to avoid a rear-end collision.
3. Digital Cluster With 4.2-inch Coloured MID
With the facelift, Verna now features all-digital instrument cluster with a new 4.2-inch coloured TFT display for the MID.
4. Wireless Phone Charger
This feature is quite common around Hyundai cars, and Verna gets it too. It will let you charge your phone wirelessly if it can be.
5. Ventilated Front Seats
To keep the driver and front passenger away from sweating backs, Hyundai is offering ventilated front seats on the Verna. The blower speeds on the seats can be adjusted independently.
6. Driver Rear View Monitor
The new 8-inch touchscreen will double up as the rear-view monitor for the driver, even on the go.
7. Smart Trunk
Hyundai Verna’s boot can now be opened without a press of any button. It will automatically open when it will detect the key fob in its range.
8. Twin Tip Muffler Design
Hyundai has opted to go with a twin-port muffler design on the Verna facelift.
9. Eco Coating For AC
The AC condenser unit of the Verna will be coated with a special coating that will help it feed the cabin with fresh air.
10. Rear USB Charger
Cars have been doing with a 12V power outlet for the rear seat occupants, Verna is the first in its segment to get a USB charging port.
11. Arkamys Premium Sound
Hyundai cars have been getting Arkamys sound system with great audio output, since long. The facelifted Verna also retains it, but with a new and bigger display and even better audio output.
12. Luggage Net & Hooks
Keeping the stuff in place in the trunk will not be tough anymore, as the Verna features luggage net. This stretchable net will hold the small bags and fragile stuff right in place, tight to the boot.

Verna now features a bigger 8-inch touchscreen display for the touchscreen infotainment unit.

The front armrest is generally fixed in a particular position, however, one on the Verna can be slid according to driver’s convenience.
4. 1.0L 120 Turbo-Petrol Motor
Verna's new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine whips out 120 PS and 172 Nm. It come mated to a 7-speed DCT with steering-mounted paddle shifters.
5. 1.5L Turbo-Diesel Motor
The segment is shying away from a diesel engine in BS-6 era but Verna gets a new 1.5L BS-6 diesel engine with 115 PS and 250 Nm.
6. Dark Chrome Radiator Grille
With a dark-chrome radiator grille, Verna will lure the buyers looking for an understated bling.
