New Limited Edition of Tata Tiago Launched, Gets More features

Tata Tiago is currently the most affordable offering from the carmaker in the Indian market. Also, it is one of the best-selling cars in its segment. Tata Tiago received a mid-cycle facelift in January last year. While the updates helped it in sailing through the tough times, it was now ready for some subtle revisions again. And it seems like Tata Motors had a clue of it, as the carmaker has launched a new limited edition of the Tiago. The limited edition of the Tiago is based on the XT trim and is priced at Rs. 5.79 lakh. It comes with a slew of changes and will be available in three single-tone colour schemes, namely Flame Red, Daytona Grey, and Pearlescent White.

The limited edition of the Tiago gets 14-inch alloy wheels, which are finished in black theme. A similar design was seen on the pre-facelift Tiago. However, the top-spec trim will continue to come with 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. On the inside, changes include the addition of a 5-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment unit. It comes with video & image playback, reverse parking sensor display, voice command recognition, and 3D navigation via Navimaps.

Tata Tiago is a feature-loaded car. It is indeed the safest car in its segment with a 4-star G-NCAP crash test rating. The Tiago comes equipped with dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, roll-over mitigation, seat belt alarm, high-speed alert, seat belt with pre-tensioners and load limiters, reverse parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages. Also, the range-topping trim of Tiago boasts of a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with 8-speaker HARMAN-tuned sound system.

In the BS-6 regime, the Tiago is offered with a 1.2L 3-pot naturally-aspirated motor. It is capable of putting out a peak power output of 86 PS and max torque of 113 Nm. The gearbox options on the Tiago include a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT. It has an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 19.80 kmpl. With a starting price of Rs. 4.85 lakh, it rivals the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Hyundai Grand i10 and more. Earlier, Tata Motors used to offer 1.05L oil burner on the Tiago, which was capable of producing 70 PS against 140 Nm, and it had an ARAI-claimed fuel efficiency of 27.28 kmpl.
