A Czech publication namely Aktuálně.cz has recently revealed that the latest-generation Skoda Octavia is likely to debut within the onset of 2020. It is suggested that Volkswagen Group will wait until the eighth-generation VW Golf, which is falling into some technical snags, marks its showcase at IAA 2019 to introduce the fourth-gen Octavia to the world. If everything goes smoothly, we will get a slew of details on the new-gen Octavia soon in the next two years.

The Skoda Octavia, as it’s widely known is a big successor in the carmaker’s vehicles portfolio, hence the new-generation Octavia is much-anticipated to retain its name in the automotive world. The fourth-gen Skoda Octavia is expected to carry a sedan-like silhouette rather than a couple-like styling as before. It will get a subtle change in sizes while the lighting system and bumper design will likely to undergo a heavy revision.

A 48-volt mild hybrid technology could be attached with the 1.5-litre TSI gasoline burner as well. That said, this plug-in hybrid variant is on the cards to be launched in mid-2020 while the high-performance RS variant should go hybrid with some electrifications.
