In terms of performance, the Tata Tiago XZ+ is available with both petrol and diesel engines. While the 1.2 L 3-cylinder petrol motor can produce 84 bhp of maximum power and 115 Nm of peak torque, the 1.1 L 3-cylinder diesel unit can deliver 69 bhp against 140 Nm. The transmission duties on both the engine variants are undertaken by a 5-speed MT gearbox as standard. The AMT transmission is also offered in some petrol variants but the recently launched XZ+ does not get it.
The Tata Tiago XZ+ will be available with both a petrol and diesel motor options
While the single-colour version of petrol Tata Tiago XZ+ has been priced at Rs 5.57 lakh, its dual-colour version costs Rs 5.64 lakh. On the other hand, the prices of the diesel XZ+ for the single-tone and the dual-tone version are Rs 6.31 lakh and Rs 6.38 lakh, respectively (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). Two new colours have also been introduced with the XZ+: Ocean Blue and Canyon Orange, which are also shown in the new TVC.
The Tata Tiago JTP is the high-performance version of the Tata Tiago
Attaining considerable popularity with Indian hatchback enthusiasts, the Tata Tiago directly compete with the Hyundai Santro. The high-performance Tata Tiago JTP was also introduced to the Indian auto market late last year. Despite borrowing the 1.2L turbocharged engine from the Tata Nexon, the Tata Tiago JTP has a more impressive performance than its counterpart with a maximum power of 114 bhp and a peak torque of 150Nm. The transmission duties are undertaken by a 5-speed manual gearbox, but the gear ratios have been altered to give it an impressive performance.
