The Nissan Kicks compact SUV has been spotted testing on Indian roads before its introduction to the Indian auto market in January 2019.

The Nissan Kicks is projected to be launched India next month and the compact SUV has been spotted testing on Indian roads. Nissan Kicks is being developed at the Nissan Design Centre and will be produced at Renault and Nissan's jointly owned facility in Chennai. The model which has been recently spotted has a dual paint scheme with white colour on the car body and black colour on the roof, which harmonizes well with each other, adding to the car's attraction.

While some parts of the spotted model were camouflaged in the front and the rear, we can still realize some of its striking features on the side profile such as the fashionable floating roof, the shark fin antenna on the roof rails and the proportionate 17-inch dual-tone five-spoke alloy wheels.

Recently, Nissan has revealed the exterior of the upcoming Nissan Kicks SUV; however, no information has been revealed about the interior and the engine. While we are quite sure that the Indian-spec Nissan Kicks will sport a progressive exterior design, all the information on the interior and engine is only our expectations. Unlike the global model which is underpinned by Nissan's V platform, the India-bound Nissan Kicks is supported by B0 platform, borrowed from the Terrano, which means that it is going to have a stronger structure as well as greater dimensions than its global counterpart. A wide range of top-notch features is expected to be equipped inside the cabin. In terms of the engine, it will come with a petrol and diesel motor options. The transmission duties can be undertaken by both an MT and an AT unit.

Once launched in India, the Kicks SUV will be priced from Rs 11 lakh for the base variant to Rs 16 lakh for the top variant (ex-showroom). This aggressive price can help the Nissan’s next compact SUV compete against the Renault Captur, Renault Duster and Hyundai Creta.
