Nissan Kicks Units Start Reaching Dealerships, Launch Soon

Ahead of the launch on the 22nd this January, the Nissan Kicks has started reaching the official dealerships. Pre-bookings have been underway for INR 25,000.

The Nissan Kicks is being considered as the make-it-or-break-it product for the Japanese manufacturer in India. It will be the successor to the Terrano, which was launched in August 2013. The Kicks SUV is set to launch on 22nd of this January

For the Indian market, the Nissan Kicks has been redesigned to fit the Indian taste. Compared to the global model, the Indian-spec version is bigger in terms of dimension. Due to several design tweaks, the Indian-bound Nissan Nicks offers a more muscular and aggressive look. To be specific, being underpinned from the Nissan Terrano’s B0/Logan platform, the upcoming sub-compact SUV offers 4,384 mm long, 1,813 mm wide and 1,649 mm tall (1,656 mm if roof rails included). For the wheelbase, the car spans a length of 2,673 mm.

Indian-spec Nissan Kicks will be quite different from the global version

On the inside, the Nissan Kicks will feature with a dual-tone finish with black and brown along with a faux carbon-fibre finish. Additionally, the cabin of the Nissan Kicks offers-

  • Leather-wrapped soft-touch dashboard 

  • Leather door trim 

  • Leather seat upholstery

The upcoming Nissan Kicks will be updated with a host of new features

On the outside, the upcoming SUV offer-

In terms of features, the Nissan Kicks will offer -

  • Traction Control  

  • Four airbags

The feature package is also full of equipment

As for the performance, the Kicks is available with two engine options: 

  • 1.5L H4K petrol

  • 1.5L K9K dCi diesel 

The petrol engine can churn out 106 PS of power and 142 Nm of torque, and it comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The diesel engine can generate 110 PS and 240 Nm of torque, and it is coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission.

There are two engine options are available on this next gen of Nissan Kicks

With the prices expected to start at Rs. 9.5, the new Nissan Kicks will take on the likes of Maruti S-Cross, Hyundai Creta, and Renault Captur in the domestic market.
