Nissan will likely launch its all-new compact SUV, named Magnite, in August 2020. The upcoming SUV is expected to be the most affordable car in its segment

Recent reports suggest that Nissan India plans to launch its first sub-4-meter SUV, named Magnite, in August this year. This will help the carmaker to attract a lot of potential buyers during the festive season. The compact SUV is expected to be retailed at a starting price tag of Rs 5.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the all-new Nissan Magnite will compete with the likes of Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport. The top-spec CVT-equipped variant of the SUV is expected to be priced at Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom).

The 5-seater SUV is likely to be offered with a wide range of variants and will be based on the company’s CMF-A+ platform. The same platform also underpins the Triber. The teaser images of the upcoming Nissan SUV were revealed by the carmaker earlier this year. We expect to find a lot of similarities between the Magnite and Triber-based Renault compact SUV.

The upcoming Nissan Magnite will feature a lot of modern crossover styling elements like sleeker headlamps, V-motion grille upfront, character lines and creases, muscular wheel arches, striking taillights and much more. The compact SUV will be offered in several colour schemes and two-tone shades.
