Nissan Magnite is going to have the lowest maintenance cost in its segment. It will be in the lines of that of an entry-level hatchback. Read on for the complete report.

Nissan Magnite is the cheapest offering in its segment with an introductory starting price of Rs. 4.99 lakh. Interestingly, it is claimed to have the lowest maintenance cost of 29 Paisa/km for 50,000 km. Moreover, the carmaker is claiming that with prepaid maintenance plans consumers will be able to save up to 22 per cent of the actual maintenance cost.  In our calculations, we could sum up that entry-level hatchbacks such as Renault Kwid, boast of a similar maintenance cost for a driving cycle of 50,000 km for scheduled and preventive maintenance. To ensure the peace of mind of owners, the Magnite will come standard with 2 Years (50,000 km) warranty, which can be extended up to 5 years (1,00,000 km).

Furthermore, Nissan will offer “Nissan Magnite Care” with options to choose between ‘GOLD’ and ‘SILVER’ packages, wherein the former will cover periodic maintenance, whereas, the latter will only cover basic maintenance services. Since Nissan is betting big on the Magnite, the carmaker is trying to tick all the boxes right. Well, it does feel like that Nissan has managed to do so, as the Magnite has garnered 15,000 booking and 1,50,000 enquiries since its launch, which took place on December 2.

Commenting on the same, Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India said, “Nissan as a customer-centric brand, understands the importance of providing unique value-added services to its discerning Indian customers like the online service booking, the online service calculator and a completely enhanced digital ecosystem. The all-new Nissan Magnite comes with over 20 best-in-class and first-in-class features with the Nissan Promise of Lowest cost of maintenance”.
