Nissan Magnite Variants And Features Explained

The Nissan Magnite will participate in the fiercely competitive Indian sub-4-metre compact SUV segment in which it will compete against the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue and the recently-launched Kia Sonet. The Magnite will be the first-ever model under Nissan NEXT strategy of the Japanese automaker for the Indian auto market. Recently, the features and motor specifications of the SUV have been officially disclosed. Commenting on the production of the SUV, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, Rakesh Srivastava, stated,

"The start of production of the all-new Nissan Magnite is a proud moment for all of us. With an array of first-in-class and best-in-segment features, each grade walk has been curated to meet the aspirations of the discerning Indian customer."

Complying with Nissan’s philosophy of continuously innovating to enrich experience, the Japanese automaker’s well-known technologies are offered across the trims of the Magnite. These include the X-TRONIC CVT, auto cruise, Nissan Connect and 360-degree Around View Monitor. Refer to the table below for a variant-wise feature list of the Nissan Magnite.

The Nissan Magnite will receive its power from a 1.0-litre NA gasoline burner and a 1.0-litre 3-cyl turbo petrol motor. While the former can deliver 72 HP against 96 Nm and is mated to a MT, the latter is good for 95 HP against 160 Nm and is paired with a MT/X-TRONIC CVT unit. No pricing has been announced to date but the SUV is expected to be priced in a range from INR 5.5 lakh to 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
