In a recent accident in New Delhi, a speeding Bentley Bentayga hit an auto rickshaw and then crashed into a lamppost, leaving one person killed and the other three severely injured.

The increasing preference for SUVs in India has made many automakers, even luxury ones like Bentley and Rolls Royce, shift from the traditional sedans to produce SUVs. The Bentley Bentayga is one such luxury SUV and it is priced up to INR 3.78 crore. The luxury SUV has been present on Indian roads for quite some time now. It is owned by some wealthy people in the country including Mukesh Ambani, the richest man in India. However, unfortunately enough, a person who possesses this premium SUV has not been so lucky.

The accident occurred at Vinay Marg in Chanakyapuri. It was reported by witnesses that the speeding Bentley hit an auto rickshaw, turned upside down and threw its occupants onto the road before colliding with a lamppost. The driver was found to be Asees Singh Chadha, nephew of Ponty Chadha, who was killed by his brother in 2012 in a fire opened due to business competition between two of them.

Of the four people including the driver and three women from Turkmenistan who were in the car at the time the accident happened, one woman has been reported to be dead and the other three are severely injured. It is regrettable to observe such an expensive car like Bentley Bentayga smashed into pieces. It is even more regrettable that such a horrific accident occurred, leaving one dead and three seriously injured, just due to the carelessness of the driver.
