Pre-facelift Maruti Suzuki Baleno Available At Rs 40,000 Discount

The 2019 Facelift Maruti Baleno is just launched on January 28. The latest version comes with several cosmetic and mechanical updates. The new look is expected to refresh the appeal for this best-selling model. This new version is on sale at a price starting from Rs 5.45 to 8.77 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). On the other hand, to clear up the old stock of the previous model, Maruti is going to offer the huge discount of Rs 40,000 on the pre-facelift Baleno.

The discount includes Rs 15,000 direct cash back. Another Rs 15,000 discount is bestowed as exchange bonus for those who sell their old car to Maruti Suzuki True Value. Also, the company also offers a corporate discount of Rs. 15,000. All of these could add up to the total number of Rs 40,000. Other than these, depending on the dealership, customers might receive gifts of accessories like car carpet or mudguards.

While the 2019 Baleno gets LED projector headlamps, the old Baleno is only equipped with HID projector ones. Apart from that, some minor exterior updates are added, including refreshed bumper and grille, new machine-cut alloy wheels on the top-spec variant.

On the entry-level pre-facelift version, it also misses out on reverse parking sensor, high-speed alarm, front seatbelt reminder, all of which are provided as standard on the new Baleno.

The new Baleno is available with minor cosmetic change and the same mechanical setting

Even though the facelift Baleno takes one step in terms of equipment, the mechanical part that runs the car remains unchanged. It continues to offer two engine options including a K12M 1.2-litre VVT petrol motor and a 1.3-litre diesel unit. The former could churn out 83.1 bhp and 115 Nm while the later is good for 74 bhp and 190 Nm. A 5-speed manual transmission is available as standard on both engines, but petrol variants are available with additional CVT option.

With the untouched powertrain option and other mechanical aspects, the performance of the 2019 Baleno stays consistent with the previous model. So if some advanced comfort features and a new design element doesn’t matter much to you, going with the pre-facelift model is not a bad idea. On top of that, purchasing the old-stock Baleno now, you can benefit from the recent discount scheme of up to Rs 40,000. It is a value-for-money option for such a popular and decent package.
