Check out this rendering of production-spec Skoda Vision IN. The car was recently unveiled in a media event in New Delhi and then showcased at Auto Expo 2020.

Skoda Vision IN was recently showcased during the Auto Expo 2020. The model is a concept car based on an India specific platform by VW MQB A0 IN. The concept car looked brilliant at the Czech company’s stall, showcased near all other brilliant Skoda cars.

IndianAutosBlog, a sister publication to IndianAuto, has recently created a rendering of the production-spec Vision IN. Although there are bound to be a lot of difference between the final model of the upcoming Skoda SUV and the one shown in the image below, we can safely assume that this rendered picture accurately showcases a major chunk of the details of the car.

As we can see in the picture above, Skoda Vision IN won’t look too different from the concept car shown at the Auto Expo. The SUV will have an extremely muscular appearance and high ground clearance. At the front, we can see a pair of vertically split headlights, with a large front-grille in between. The front air-dam looks quite pretty, and there is a skid-plate underneath it. The side profile highlights the masculine character of the car owing to the cladding around the wheel arches and door sills. The car also gets a blacked-out roof with roof rails, to complete the utilitarian look of the car. Needless to say, the Skoda Vision IN looks as exciting as a car can be!

While there has been no confirmation regarding the powerplants on offer under the hood, we expect Skoda to offer a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine and a 1.5-litre TSI-Evo petrol engine. The former is good for 115 PS of maximum power and 200 Nm of peak torque, while the latter is good for 150 PS and 250 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, which will transfer power to the front wheels only. There will not be an AWD system on offer on select variants. The car is expected to rival the likes of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
