Renault Crossed 5 Lakh Sale Landmark In India

Renault has just celebrated 5 lakh sales milestone in the Indian market. The Renault Kwid accounts for 50% of the company’s total sales.

French carmaker, Renault India becomes among the fastest automotive companies with the total sales figure of 5 Lakh. The company sets India the targeted market and have built up a comprehensive long-term strategy to achieve great dominance in the country.

The manufacturing facility of Renault in India has been developed powerfully in the last few years. It established a high-class technology centre and two design centres in India as well thanks to the robust product development strategy and customer satisfaction plan which are the motivation to achieve this success.

Speaking about the new milestone of the company, Sumit Sawhney, the CEO and MD of Renault India Operations noted that

“India is a strategic market for the success of Renault’s medium-term plan. Being local in India is very important and that's why we have a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, a world-class technology centre and we are the only global brand to have two design centres in India. Going forward, we will continue with our product offensive strategy in the country and will work towards substantially growing the Renault brand.”

He also revealed that the key focus of the company in the past as well as in the future is to widen the portfolio across almost every segment due to strong strategy, technological innovations and intellects. They aim at improving the overall experience of customer ownership and developing the network to provide the top-notch after-sale services to the customers.

Renault has decided to celebrate its sales success by a couple of attractive offers including 3.99 percent interest rate offered as special finance for the Renault Kwid in the limited period of time. The well-received Renault Kwid which received 98% of localization level has made great triumph in the Indian auto space with more than 2.75 lakh sold units accounting for half of the company’s total sale performance. The 2018 Renault Kwid has been introduced in the country with both automatic and manual transmissions and more up-to-date fitments.

Currently, the French automotive company holds a network of 350 facilities across India and an available product lineup encompassing the Renault Kwid, Duster, Lodgy and the Captur.
