Last year, the Renault Kiger was unveiled under the near-production form. It is confirmed that the production-ready version will be 80 percent identical to the concept design revealed earlier. We expect to see the final model to carry forward quirky design elements from the concept version. As per the test mule pictures, the production-ready version will come with split LED headlights, pronounced rear arches, heavy body cladding and more. On the rear end, the Kiger is expected to get C-shaped LED taillamps, a floating roof, and a dominant rear spoiler. In terms of styling, there are undeniable resembles between the Renault Kiger and the hatchback Renault Kwid. With raked windshields on the front and rear, the Kiger looks more like a crossover than a proper upright SUV.

Mechanic-wise, the Renault Kiger is based on the Nissan Magnite. The upcoming SUV will adopt a similar platform and engine setting from the Magnite. It means that the Kiger will come with two engine options, a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol three-cylinder engine. About the transmission options, it is likely that the Kiger will only inherit the 5-speed manual gearbox. However, instead of CVT gearbox, the AMT gearbox will be on offer. Moreover, the Kiger will also be underpinned by the CMF-A+ platform used on Magnite.
