The updated version of the Renault Kwid with more features and safety kits has been confirmed to be launched in 2019.

Regarded as a benchmark when it came under the spotlight in early 2017, the Renault Kwid has made a success with the total 2.5 Lakh unit sales in the Indian auto market. The French automotive company has recently revealed its plan to introduce the new updated version of the entry-level hatchback, Renault Kwid in the Indian market by mid-2019 to continue and further promote the success of the current-gen model. A team of mechanics and experts have been assigned to meticulously work on the design and technology in order to bring a freshly revived appearance and level up the vehicle’s safety.

Several cosmetic styling and design will be updated in the Kwid Facelift. A new front grille with chrome finish, side-moulding new body graphics and refreshed ORVMs are anticipated to be equipped in the vehicle. Also, it is highly likely that the French automaker will modify that hatchback’s platform to enhance the structural integrity and rigidity.

Safety will be the top priority of the carmaker on the Renault Kwid Facelift. Dual front airbags, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brake-force Distribution, central locking or seatbelt reminder will be available with the vehicle as standard. Besides, the all-new upcoming Kwid will witness the presence of the reverse parking sensor and camera and Emergency Locking Retractor for better prevention and protection pre-and-post collision.

The mechanical terms will be somehow changed in the Renault Kwid but the details are still under the wrap. We can expect that the India-spec Renault Kwid will come up with a 1.0-litre petrol engine as the Europe-spec model which was spotted testing earlier this year. Speaking about the interior features, the car is likely to be packed with a new 7-inch MediaNAV touchscreen infotainment system along with a 12V charging socket useful for rear seat passengers.
