Renault To Hike The Price 1.5% From January 2019

Renault has recently announced to hike the price by 1.5% from January 2019 which joins the list of the automakers increasing the price in early 2019.

The French automaker has currently confirmed to increase the price by 1.5% across its production line-up. This will be taken into effect from January 2019. As a result, Renault is the next automaker joining the list of automakers to hike up the price in 2019.

Renault cars will be increased in terms of price from January 2019

Renault is one of the latest car manufacturers to announce the price hike in the country. This increase might result from the fluctuating exchange rates and the increasing input costs. Hence, Renault has to offset distribution costs and the rising input.

The company has stated to the media,

"India is a key market for Renault, with a long-term strategy to grow the brand in the dynamic Indian market. Over the last few years, Renault has focused on establishing a strong base in India which includes a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, a world-class technology centre and two design centres." 

Apart from Renault, there are other car brands also announced to increase their price including Toyota, Isuzu Motors, BMW, Maruti Suzuki, Volkswagen and Skoda. The other manufacturers are expected to confirm their price hike in the upcoming time.

Renault has retailed a long line of car models in the Indian market ranging from the entry-level such as Duster, Kwid, Lodgy and the Captur. In which, the Captur compact SUV has recently been available with the petrol version. The French manufacturer said to produce more models along with acquiring more innovations in upcoming years in the Indian market. 

Notably, ahead of the price hike, the automaker has announced to offer the discounts as well as a host of benefits across its pipeline.

Recently, Renault-Nissan alliance has showcased their new SUV which is underpinned from the Captur and Duster’s platform. The detailed price for this new SUV is expected to be revealed soon.
