Renault Triber AMT Is The Cheapest 7-seater Automatic Car In India

Renault India has finally revealed the prices of the Triber AMT. The AMT-equipped MPV was first showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo early this year. The carmaker is offering the Triber AMT in three different trim levels namely- RXL, RXT and RXZ.

Renault Triber EASY-R AMT is priced at Rs 6.18 lakh for the entry-level RXL EASY-R, Rs 6.68 lakh for RXT EASY-R and Rs 7.22 lakh for top-spec RXZ EASY-R variant (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). Compared to regular manual Triber, the AMT-equipped model is Rs 40,000 costlier. However, Triber AMT is now the most-affordable automatic MPV offered in the Indian market. The company has already initiated accepting bookings of the car.

Renault Triber is based on the company’s CMF-A+ platform. Mechanically, the MPV remains unchanged as it continues to derive power from 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, which puts out 72bhp of peak power and 96 Nm of twisting force. Transmission duties are done by a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

The MPV is rated to offer an ARAI certified mileage of 20 kmpl. Next, Renault India plans to launch a 1.0-litre turbocharged HR10 petrol engine variant of the Triber that will offer a maximum power of 95bhp. The same power plant is likely to be offered with the upcoming Nissan Magnite compact SUV.
