Renault Triber AMT Unveiled at Auto Expo 2020 - To Launched in Q2 2020

Renault Triber is the latest car to join Renault’s line-up in the Indian market last year. In the beginning, the Triber was introduced with only petrol-manual powertrain combination. However, it will soon come with a new AMT version which is expected to launch in Q2 2020.

Renault Triber’s single 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine is capable of making a top power of 72PS and a maximum torque of 96Nm. This engine is currently available with only one transmission option which is a 5-speed manual transmission unit. The upcoming automatic version gets a 5-speed automated manual gearbox. This version is now on display at the Auto Expo 2020. With the new gearbox option, the driver can switch between automatic and manual gearbox with a conventional gearshift.

Apart from the changes in the transmission unit, the Renault Triber AMT will retain a similar design that is using on the existing manual version. However, particularly on the 2020 Auto Expo, the AMT version is seen with some twists like the blue accents on the roof rails, dashboard and around doors. These new details are unlikely to make it to the commercial form.

The top-spec RXZ AMT will be available with a load of comfort and driving assist features like a large 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and instrument cluster, AC vents for every row, and keyless entry for the interior and projector headlamps and LED DRLs for the exterior.

The automatic version is confirmed to go on sale in Q2 2020. It is expected to be priced higher than the manual counterpart by Rs 50,000. Besides the introduction of a new transmission unit, the French carmaker is also planning on introducing a brand new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine which will be more powerful than the recent engine.
