Renault Triber has contributed a huge part to the growing sales of Renault in the last two months

Thanks to the introduction of the Renault Triber, the total sales of the French car manufacturer has grown by 70 per cent within the course of two months. Notably, considering the overall slow-selling situation in the automobile market, this significant growth shows an unusual positive advance for the car manufacturer in the game. In fact, Renault was among a few car manufacturers that have a chance to see the growth line pointing upwards.

Renault Triber will be available in the South African market

Under the hood, this MPV is powered by a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated 3-cylinder petrol engine which is supported by the VVT technology. This engine is capable of making 72PS of highest power and 96Nm of peak torque. It is mated to either a 5-speed automatic gearbox or a 5-speed manual gearbox. The ARAI fuel mileage is rated at 20 kmpl. Currently, it is the only petrol engine available on offer, but Renault is planning to introduce a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine for the MPV soon.

In the Indian market, the Renault Triber has a unique position with no direct competitors. At the price range from Rs 4.95-6.63 lakh, the Renault Triber appears to be a viable alternative for customers who are considering a small hatchback or a crossover hatchback like Maruti Swift, Grand i10 Nios, Ford Freestyle, or Datsun GO+.
