Jeep India, the local subsidiary of the FCA Group-owned American SUV manufacturer, has tasted reasonable success in India with the Compass. However, the carmaker’s portfolio is not limited to just the MG Hector and Tata Harrier rival as it also sells some high-end models like the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee. This SUVs are renowned across the globe and are even used by some celebrities. Recently, Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor were seen in a brand-new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. With this, the much-loved couple have become the latest celebs to have acquired this SUV.

The red Jeep Wrangler Rubicon that is being used by Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor has been given to them by FCA India for promotional purposes. 

However, Saif and Kareena haven’t purchased the bold red Jeep Wrangler Rubicon they were spotted in. Instead, they have received this Wrangler from Jeep India for promotional purposes. No, the actors might not be seen officially endorsing the SUV but it definitely works in favour of the manufacturer if famous personalities, like this Bollywood couple, is seen using one of their high-end products.

The company has used similar tactics in the past, when they have gifted SUVs to actors like Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez. The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is a thoroughbred off-roader that was launched in India last year. The premium SUV retails at a starting price tag of Rs 63.94 lakh (ex-showroom). Basically, the 5-door SUV is a more capable iteration of the regular Wrangler and comes equipped with add-ons that make it better off the road. It even comes with several high-end comfort and convenience-enhancing features, including multi-zone climate control, electric sunroof, smartphone connectivity and more. The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon comes with 4-wheel-drive high and 4-wheel-drive low mode along with a 4-wheel-drive auto mode. Powering the Rubicon is a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine that produces 260hp and 572Nm. The motor comes mated to an 8-speed auto ‘box.
