Skoda Introduces Certified Pre-Owned Used Car Outlets Across 9 Cities in India

Skoda Auto India has officially made its entry to the used car market in India with its recently-launched “Certified Pre-Owned” programme. As previously referenced by Zac Hollis, Skoda Auto India’s Director of Sales, Service and Marketing, Skoda’s used car programme is initially operational across 9 cities in India with a vision towards the nationwide rollout in the next 12 months, as parts of the company’s “India 2.0 project”. Skoda’s certified used car programme is now available in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Goa.

Both models from Skoda and non-Skoda cars sold under this programme will be offered with a warranty of up to 2 years/15,000 km whichever comes first. Customers can buy a one-year roadside assistance cover for their vehicle as well. Besides, pre-owned cars from other carmakers traded in by customers on buying a new Skoda car will be given some restorations and will be retailed with a warranty as well.

When buying a used car through Skoda Certified Pre-owned programme, customers can enjoy the convenience of choosing the product with the assistance of a live consultation from sales consultants, technicians, as well as car evaluators along with the virtual product demonstrations. The mileage certification and full-service history of the vehicle will be provided for buyers by the company.

As for the new Skoda car launches, the Czech carmaker has introduced three products including the Superb facelift, the Rapid TSI and the all-new Karoq in India. The company is planning to launch the new 2020 Octavia and Kodiaq petrol in the country, but the plan has been delayed until 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The much-anticipated Hyundai Creta-rivalling Skoda Vision IN is also set to come in the first half of 2021, followed by an all-new mid-size sedan towards the end of next year.
