Before hitting the India market, Skoda introduced the Skoda Kodiaq in other markets. The international version comes with several updates that do not exist on the regular version, for example, new body black plastic cladding and revised bumper with silver accents. Other new elements include a set of 19-inch wheels, silver-finished roof rails, ORVM covers and a special Scout badge.

Coming to the inside, Skoda Kodiaq Scout will share many features in common with the current top-spec L&K variant. This new variant will come with a similar 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Even the Virtual Cockpit Digital instrument cluster will be also featured on the Kodiaq Scout. Interior-wise, the cabin of the new Scout gets a wood application and Alcantara upholstery seats too. Some details that tell this variant apart from the rest are the new Scout logo and a new off-road driving mode.

Under the hood, Skoda Kodiaq Scout will remain the powertrain that is currently doing duty on the regular variants. It will feature a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine which makes a maximum power of 150 PS and a peak torque of 340 Nm. It is mated to 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. On the international-spec Scout, it is available with a standard four-wheel-drive system.

Skoda Kodiaq Scout will sit above the existing top-of-the-line Kodiaq L&K. Currently, Skoda Kodiaq’s entry-level vehicle is priced at Rs 35.36 lakh. The price of the top-spec L&K goes up to Rs 36.78 lakh, which means the price of the Scout will stand above that mark. It will be rival against the like of Honda CR-V and Volkswagen Tiguan.
