Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo Relaunched At Rs 11.16 Lakh

Skoda Auto has officially relaunched the limited-edition Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo in the Indian market at Rs 11.16 Lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Czech carmaker has noted that the Monte Carlo rolls out many devotions to the company’s products heritage.

The Rapid Monte Carlo offers a compelling combination of the brand's emotive design, exquisite interiors, leading safety as well as intelligent connectivity features. It is positioned at the upper end of its segment and targets discerning customers who want a premium experience," said Zac Hollis, the Sales, Service and Marketing Director of Skoda Auto India.

The new Monte Carlo comes with a host of further improvement in its exterior and interior kits to reaffirm the vehicle’s identity. It has been introduced with a black radiator grille, projector headlights, a set of R16 dual-tone Clubber alloy wheels, gloss black roof wrap and black tailgate spoiler. On the inside, the Monte Carlo special edition comes featured a supersport multifunction steering wheel with black leather-finished gearshift knob. The cabin gets a higher sense of premium by the grey-striped leatherette upholstery, piano-black centre console, stainless pedals and Monte Carlo cushion pillows. The equipment list is highlighted with rain sensing wipers, cruise control, cooled glovebox, adjustable steering wheel, rear parking camera, 6.5-inch Drive touchscreen infotainment system with Mirror Link, SmartLink, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.

The interior of the car boasts the feelings of premium and luxuriousness

On the safety front, the Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo is well-built with standard features like ABS with EDB and ESC, dual airbags and three-point seatbelts.

The mechanical terms of the new Skoda offering come as no difference from the base trim. It gets the power from a 1.6-litre MPI engine outputting 105 PS of power and 153 Nm units along with a 1.5-litre TDI diesel unit making 110 PS/ 250 Nm torque. The mills are mated to 5-speed manual gearbox and an optional 6-step Tiptronic automatic transmission.
