Starbright Yellow Kia Seltos On Sale in Vietnam

Kia Seltos is the car that helped the South-Korean brand in strengthening its roots in India. It was also the first product from Kia stable to go on sale in the country. It is highly loved by the Indian audience for the way it looks, the performance it offers, and the price it comes for. In India, Kia offers the Seltos in a total of 12 colour options – 7 monotone and 5 dual-tone. However, in Vietnam, Kia is offering a new Yellow shade for the Seltos, which isn’t available in India. In pictures, the colour shade looks like Starbright Yellow that is offered on the USA-spec Seltos. Also, it is offered in a dual-tone colourway with use of Cherry Black paint scheme for the roof.

The car in the pictures looks similar the HTK+ trim of the India-spec Seltos as the model seen here gets conventional foglamps and non-LED projector headlamps. While the Seltos is on sale in the Indian market for almost a year now, it has been recently launched in the Vietnamese market. The price for the Seltos in Vietnam starts at 589 million VND and tops out at 719 million VND. It is sold in a total of 4 variants, namely Turbo Deluxe, Turbo Luxury, Turbo Premium, and Premium.

Talking of the powertrain, the Seltos in Vietnam is available with two engine options – 1.4L turbo-petrol and 1.6L naturally-aspirated petrol. The turbocharged motor is the same unit as seen on the India-spec Seltos. Also, it develops identical power and torque output of 140 PS and 242 Nm, respectively. The 1.6L naturally aspirated petrol power plant, on the other hand, puts out a rated power output of 147 horsepower and 179 Nm of max torque.

On the contrary, the Kia Seltos is offered in a total of 7 variants with 3 engine options in India. To the start with, it gets 1.5L petrol motor that puts out 115 PS/144 Nm, and it can be had mated to either a 6-speed MT or IVT. The next on the list is a 1.5L turbo-diesel engine, which churns out a rated output of 115 PS/250 Nm. The transmission options for this motor include a 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT. The last on the list is the 1.4L turbo-petrol motor that develops 140 PS/242 Nm, and it can be had mated to either a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed DCT.
