Thai-spec Suzuki Ciaz Gets 1.25-litre Petrol Engine and Styling Updates

Suzuki has recently launched a refreshed version of the Ciaz in Thailand. The sedan is powered by a 1.25-litre petrol engine capable of producing 91 hp at 6,000 rpm and 118 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm. Currently, the engine only comes paired to a CVT automatic transmission. The same engine was also available in the pre-facelift model, and most of the changes are limited to cosmetic updates.

Suzuki Ciaz facelift launched in Thailand

As can be seen in the picture above, the Thai-spec Suzuki Ciaz facelift looks similar to the 2019 Maruti Ciaz. The front-end features the same mesh grille design with chrome underlining and over-lining. You get projector headlights with LED DRLs. The front bumper has two boomerang-shaped inserts around either foglamp housings, with a large air dam between the two. The side profile features 16-inch wheels. At the rear, there are chrome embellishments to add a premium feel to the car. In the ‘RS’ trim, there is a sporty-looking spoiler mounted on the boot lid.

Tha​​​​​i-spec Ciaz features an all-black interior

Inside the car, you get an all-black interior theme, unlike the beige colour we have in the India-spec model. The car also features leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, chrome door handles. In terms of equipment, there is a lot on offers, like a premium 6-speaker audio system, multi-function steering wheel with mounted controls, and a 7-inch touchscreen unit for the infotainment system with integrated Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, MirrorLink, Bluetooth, and navigation.

Suzuki Ciaz  is powered by a 1.25-litre petrol engine

In terms of safety, the car offers dual front airbags, keyless entry, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, etc. There are six exterior paint options available. The Suzuki Ciaz facelift is priced at 523,000 baht (Rs. 12.03 lakh) to 675,000 baht (Rs. 15.53 lakh).
