While the Suzuki Jimny made its India-debut at the 2020 Auto Expo and could launch by next year, the SUV has been re-launched as a light commercial vehicle in Europe.

As a replacement for the Maruti Gypsy in the Indian auto market, the Suzuki Jimny is highly anticipated in the country, especially among off-road enthusiasts. Recently, the SUV has been re-launched in Europe, where the compact-SUV has gone on sale as a Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) after its passenger iteration was discontinued recently.

The Europe-spec Suzuki Jimny is a two-seater version which gets a flat-floor luggage compartment. A safety cargo is available to divide the front seats and the luggage space into two separate sections. The luggage compartment has an 864-litre cargo capacity. Some of the noteworthy safety technologies include Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Dual Sensor Brake Support (DSBS) and emergency messaging function just in case of a collision. Noteworthily, the Jimny is equipped with an AllGrip Pro 4WD system as standard across all of its variants and low range transfer gear.
