The major highlight of the Tata Altroz iTurbo is the 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine which puts out 110 BHP and 140 Nm. This engine can also be found on the Tata Nexon. However, in the Altroz, this engine is detuned to produce lower power and torque outputs. On the Nexon, this engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. This combination, however, will not be offered on the Altroz, as it gets a 5-speed stick shift unit like other variants of the hatchback. With this powertrain, it is claimed that the Tata Altroz iTurbo is capable of sprinting from 0-100 kmph in 11.9 seconds. The fuel efficiency is rated at 18.13 kmpl.
