Last month, Tata Altroz beats Nexon and Tiago in terms of sales. Also, the automaker is offering good discounts along with some flexible finance schemes on select models.

April 2020 turned out to be a total disaster for the whole automobile industry as every car manufacturer had to shut down their dealerships and manufacturing facilities for the whole month. Last month, the car sales started picking up a bit as the automakers around the country resumed business via some dealerships and online mediums. Tata Motors retailed 3,152 units in May this year, which is quite good considering that India’s biggest carmaker Maruti Suzuki could only sell a little more than 18,000 units compared to the 1.25 lakh units retailed in the same month last year.

The full model-wise sales figures of the company's entire lineup is yet to be revealed, but we can say that the automaker is clocking down good sales numbers for Altroz as it has beaten Nexon and Tiago. Tata sold 1,379 units of Altroz against the 875 units Tiago and 623 of Nexon facelift. Moreover, the 2020 Harrier facelift is also doing pretty well in terms of sales after getting new updates. Moreover, the automaker is offering some good discounts, in order to regain the sales momentum.

The carmaker is offering flexible finance schemes to help the potential buyer to buy a brand new Tata car of their choice during these hard times. For example, Tata Tiago is being offered with striking finance schemes with the lowest EMIs of Rs 4,999. In this scheme, a person has to pay low EMI for the first year and the amount will automatically increase from the second year.

The flexible EMI scheme is available on all the trims of the Tata Tiago. The 2020 Tata Tiago is priced between Rs 4.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) to Rs 6.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The hatchback is powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-pot gasoline engine, which puts out 84bhp of power at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of twisting force at 3,300 rpm. The engine comes paired with a 5-speed MT or an AMT gearbox. It competes with the likes of Maruti WagonR and Hyundai Santro.  Furthermore, the hatchback is offered in five-six unique colour shade options.
