Tata will be launching the all-new Altroz Turbo in India this month. Here are the newest details about the upcoming Tata Altroz Turbo.

Tata Motors has created quite a success story with the new Altroz which is the company’s first entrant into the premium hatchback segment. The Tata Altroz seems to have many things on point, like a distinctively stylish look and a well-loaded cabin. However, the only grouse that the Altroz still misses out on to offer a lively drive is a powerful turbocharged engine option. While some arch-rivals of the Altroz like Hyundai i20 and VW Polo have already had one in their lineup, it’s time for Tata to give a straight response. Excitingly, Tata is set to launch the Altroz Turbo in India this month.

It will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox upon launch, along with a 6-speed DCT in the pipeline. To recap, the current Tata Altroz is available with a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that churns out 83 PS of max power and 113 Nm of torque. There’s also a 1.5-litre diesel motor that produces 90 PS of max power and 200 Nm of peak torque. Both the mills are coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission.
