Tata Motors passenger car sales in Sep 2020 stood at 21,200 units, posting the highest 162% sales growth in 8 years.

Tata Motors has had a dreaming month for Sep 2020 in terms of sales as the company just reported a whopping year-on-year sales growth of 162% in September. Specifically, the home-grown carmaker has recorded a total sales number of 21,200 units as against 8,097 units registered in the same month in 2019. This is the highest sales figure achieved by Tata Motors in the last 8 years.

Thanks to this massive sales momentum, Tata has climbed to the third spot of the country’s manufacture chart last month. Whereas, Mahindra & Mahindra witnessed a 16 per cent dip in total domestic sales in the same month, losing out its position to Kia which registers a total sales number of 18,676 units. That said, the all-new Kia Sonet combined with Kia Seltos are the biggest sales contributors of the South Korean company, recording a 141 per cent sales increase compared to the year-ago period.
