Tata E-Vision Concept To Be Debut In Geneva In March 2019

A near-production model of the Tata E-Vision will be one of the vehicles to be showcased at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show in March 2019, along with the H7X concept, the Aquilla, the 45X EV, and the Hornbill concept.

Commenting on the concept car, CEO and MD, Tata Motors, Guenter Butschek stated,

“I can’t promise much but stay tuned to the announcements in the coming weeks. […] You will actually see something that reminds you of the EVision sedan, but on the Alfa architecture.”

Tata E-Vision will be the first medium electric sedan ever to be produced by Tata Motors

Once launched, the Tata E-Vision concept will be the first-ever medium sedan which will take on the likes of the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, and the Maruti Ciaz. The biggest sedan by Tata is expected to be underpinned by the Advanced Modular Platform (AMP) and will also be an electric vehicle. The first car to be produced by the home-grown auto manufacturer in the coming time will be the Tata 45X (Tata X451/Tata Aquilla), which will go on sale in the middle of this year.

The Tata 45X will be the next vehicle to be produced by Tata Motors in the coming time

As revealed by President of Tata Motors (PV unit), the company is making use of the two platforms, Alfa-Arc and Omega-Arc Mayank Pareek, to expand its PV portfolio to 12-14 models. These two platforms are also the focus of the auto manufacturer’s Turnaround 2.0 initiative.
