Tata Motors is now busy preparing for a slew of new model launches in 2020. In early February, Tata showcased the seven-seater version of the Harrier dubbed the Tata Gravitas and the HBX concept at the Auto Expo 2020, all of which grabbed a fair share of attention from the Indian car fanatics.

Spy shots of the Tata Gravitas are just enormous. Recently, the Gravitas has been spotted parked in Pune with heavy camouflage. What we get to know is that as compared to its five-seater brother, the Gravitas sports a number of necessary changes in order to accommodate the extra seats.

The biggest changes can be seen clearly from the side profile of the car where the Gravitas gets a longer rear overhang and larger windows area along with bigger wheels. While the Gravitas may get a similar face as compared to the Harrier, the rear section of the seven-seater SUV can feature a revised bumper, new tailgate and redesigned taillamps with a black strip running between the lamps.

While the Gravitas gets the same LR-derived architecture as the Harrier sibling, the Tata Hornbill will be the second and the smallest car to sit on the ALFA Arc platform, following the Tata Altroz. Besides its good-looking design, the Hornbill will be loaded to the gills with features on the interior.

Powering the Tata’s micro SUV will be a 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine generating 86 HP of maximum power. This engine can be had with either a 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT unit.

The launch of the Tata Gravitas is expected for August while the launch of the production-spec Tata HBX is slated for around the Diwali 2020.
