Tata Harrier Camo Edition Launched, Carries Similar Price Tag as Dark Edition

Tata Harrier Camo Editon is finally launched in the country. In comparison to the regular variants of the Harrier, the Camo Edition features some subtle yet noticeable changes. Interestingly, the Camo Edition of the Harrier carries the same sticker price as the Dark Edition of the SUV. Also, like the Dark Edition of the Harrier, the Camo Edition will be retailed in a total of six trim levels – XT, XT+, XZ, XZ+, XZA, and XZA+. The Camo Edition of the Harrier features an all-new Camo Green paint scheme, Camo badges, and 17-inch Blackstone alloy wheels.

On the insides, the feature list remains largely the same. However, the interior here is finished in an all-black theme and is upholstered in Benecke-Kaliko leather with contrast green stitching. Tata Motors will also be offering a set of accessories for the buyers of the new Camo Edition of the SUV to aid their cars with some distinction from other examples. The list includes Camo graphics, roof rails, side steps, blacked-out Harrier mascot on the bonnet, back seat organizer, OMEGARC scuff plates, sunshades, 3D mats, and anti-skid dash mats. These accessories will be available in two-packs – Camo Stealth and Camo Stealth+. Prices for these packs start at Rs. 26,999.

Mechanically, the Camo Edition of the Harrier remains identical to its regular counterparts. It is powered by a 2.0L FCA-sourced turbocharged diesel engine that puts out a peak power output of 170 PS and max torque of 350 Nm. The gearbox options on the Harrier include a 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT. The Harrier also offers the added convenience of three driving modes and three terrain response modes.

Tata Motors is reportedly developing a turbo-petrol power plant for the Harrier. It will be a 1.5L 4-cylinder unit, which is expected to churn out a peak power output of around 170 PS, while the torque output will be in the range of 250-280 Nm. It will come paired to a 6-speed MT as standard, but there will be an option of an automatic gearbox. With the introduction of petrol variants of the Harrier, Tata Motors will be able to reduce the starting price of its flagship SUV.
