Tata Harrier will soon start coming with a sunroof as an optional feature soon. Besides, the car has already received a handful of updates

As reported earlier, Tata Motors has offered updates for its current Harrier after studying the market response. To refine the performance of Tata Motors, the home-grown manufacturer has come up with improvements in various aspects. Specifically, steering and clutch are enhanced to be more responsive. The infotainment system is given new R10.X software for smoother performance and sound insulation is revised as well. Tata Motors will not stop here. According to a new report, Tata Harrier is about to offer sunroof as an option.

The sunroof will be soon available on the Tata Harrier

Tata Harrier was launched earlier this year. It came along as a quite promising offering, however, facing the increasing competition in the segment, Tata Harrier is losing its initial confidence. To keep up with its new rivals, Tata Harrier needs to enhance its equipment. One of the biggest misses on the Harrier is the absence of sunroof which is the norm in the mid-size SUV segment. Most of its rivals come with a sunroof. It is of great importance for the Harrier to get sunroof as well. The price of the sunroof Harrier will be announced in days.

Along with the recent mechanical updates, Tata Harrier has pulled out the two new dual-tone exterior paint options, Orcus White and Calisto Copper with black roof. These colour options are available on the top-spec XZ variant. Also, this premium option comes at the extra cost of Rs 20,000 over the regular version.

Tata Harrier will get the automatic transmission as well as a new petrol engine

Tata Harrier is currently powered by a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine which could develop the maximum power of 140 PS and 350 Nm. In the beginning, only a six-speed manual gearbox is on offer. The limited powertrain option range is also a major factor that holds back the Harrier. Tata Motors will soon add the automatic transmission along with a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine to the lineup soon.

Tata Motor has set to launch a seven-seater version of the Tata Harrier (Buzzard) by the end of 2019. Tata Harrier’s price ranges from Rs 12.99 lakh to Rs. 16.75 lakh.
