Tata Motors launches SUV Nexon in Nepal

On Thursday, Tata Motors has launched the AMT version of its compact SUV Nexon in Nepal.

This Thursday has witnessed the launch of the ATM version which is the automated manual transmission of the SUV Nexon in Nepal with the introductory price at 46.75 lakh for the petrol engine and 47.95 lakh for the diesel engine.

Particularly, the Nexon AMT will offer both of 1.5-litre petrol and 1.2-litre diesel engine options. 

The car is the result of the partnership between Tata Motors and the company's distributor, Sipradi Trading Pvt Ltd. It will be on sale across 19 authorised sales outlets in Nepal.

Talking about this launching, Sujan Roy, the Head of Tata Motors in International Business, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, said.

"We are happy to introduce the all-new Nexon AMT into the all-new Nexon AMT into the Nepal market. With the introduction of the SUV, we aim to tap a larger market and increase our market share in not only the compact SUV for the passenger vehicles business unit, Tata Motors”.

He added

"In a constant endeavour to fill in white spaces, we are extremely happy to introduce the all-new Nexon AMT." 

Adding to this, the Rajan Babu Shrestha, chief executive officer Sipradi Trading reported to the media

"We are confident that the Nexon AMT will definitely be the desired product in Nepal. With the capability to enhance driving pleasure with class-leading features, we are confident that the Nexon AMT will definitely be the desired product in Nepal.”

With the goal to tap a larger market, the automaker has increased the market share in not only the compact SUV segment but also in the AMT segment. The Nexon has proved it to be a solid choice as it has been one of the blockbuster in Nepal, which pushes to expand the company's business beyond hatchbacks and sedans.
