Tata Motors has sold 15,012 units of vehicles in July 2020 as against 10,485 units sold in the same month last year. The Tiago, Altroz and Nexon have played a major role in achieving this growth

Despite the ongoing difficult circumstances, Tata Motors has still registered a 43 per cent sales growth in July 2020 on YoY basis, thereby finishing third on the sales charts of our country’s car manufacturers. The home-grown auto company has reported a dealer dispatch of 15,012 units last month, which comes across as a pretty encouraging data at a time when India’s auto industry is plagued by a sales slum. When compared to the corresponding month of last year, Tata has retailed 4,527 units more, which is a 43 per cent growth from 10,485 units. Notably, this is the highest sales of Tata Motors in 16 months.

The month-on-month sales increase also stood at a respectable 31 per cent. Tata Motors began 2020 with a range of new products such as the facelifted versions of Tiago, Tigor and Nexon along with the all-new Tata Altroz premium hatchback. Furthermore, the automotive company also brought in the electrified version of Tata Nexon and the MY2020 update for the Harrier.
