Tata Motors To Raise The Prices Of All Its Models By Up To Rs 25,000 From April 2019

Tata Motor has confirmed to apply new price policy across its range in April. Accordingly, each model price will be hiked up by up to Rs 25,000.

Recently, Tata Motors has announced that they will raise the price of their models. The price hike could go up to Rs 25,000. The new price policy will go into effect at the beginning of next month. According to Tata, the raising producing cost and other economic factors hold responsibility for this price rise.

Mayank Pareek, President of Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors, explain –

The changing market conditions, rising input costs and various external economic factors have compelled us to consider this price increase. We are confident of maintaining our growth trajectory in the coming months on the back of our robust portfolio consisting of segment-leading products like Tiago, Hexa, Tigor, Nexon and Harrier.

The latest price change from Tata is the price hike on the Hexa. Before the launch of the new SUV Harrier, the Hexa was priced at Rs. 12.57 lakh. It now starts at Rs 12.99 lakh, which is Rs 41,000 higher than the previous price mark.

At the Geneva Motor Show 2019, Tata Motors introduced four new models, including Altroz, Altroz EV, Buzzard and H2X Concept. Tata Altroz previously known as Tata 45X will be launched in the next three or four months. While the Harrier-based seven seater Buzzard will be introduced by the end of this year.

At the moment, the productions portfolio of the Hexa includes eight models ranging from 4.21 to 18.37 lakh. The entry-level model is the Tata Tiago with the starting price of 4.21 lakh. Tata’s flagship is the Hexa which is also priced the highest. Here is how each model of Tata is priced, from the lowest priced to the highest.

  • Tata Tiago - Rs 4.21-6.49 lakh

  • Tata Tigor - Rs 5.42-7.52 lakh

  • Tata Zest - Rs 5.64-9.08 lakh

  • Tata Sumo - Rs 7.52-8.97 lakh

  • Tata Nexon - Rs 6.36-10.80 lakh

  • Tata Safari Storme - Rs 11.08-16.17 lakh

  • Tata Hexa - Rs 12.99-18.37 lakh

  • Tata Harrier - Rs 12.69-16.25 lakh
