On the same occasion, Tata Nexon EV also received the second price hike. Thankfully, this time, the prices only increased marginally. Despite the current price changes, the Tata Nexon EV is still the most affordable electric SUV in our market. It undercuts other competitors including the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona EV. MG ZS EV is priced from Rs 20.88 lakh to Rs 23.58 lakh while the Kona Electric costs from Rs 23.75 lakh to Rs 23.94 lakh.

Tata Nexon EV was first launched in January 2020. Within seven months after its launch, the electric SUV managed to cross its first important milestone of 1000 units sold. In the next four months, in December, it was reported that Tata had sold 2,000 units of the Nexon EV. Two months after crossing the 2,000 unit sale mark, Tata’s electric SUV is getting close to the next milestone of 3,000 units, suggesting a growth in demand for this model. By the end of December 2020, Tata Motors had already sold 2,530 units of the Nexon EV.
